February 2002: NASCAR Racing 2002 Season is released

When NASCAR Racing 2002 Season was released, it encountered some scepticism. It didn't seem to be a dramatic improvement over NASCAR Racing 4, it seemed more like an update. Well, it was, but a good one.

Most things that were weak in NASCAR Racing 4, had been improved in NASCAR Racing 2002 Season. The car is a bit easier to control, somewhere in between NASCAR Racing 3 and NASCAR Racing 4, while staying true to the realistic physics engine.

Mainly because of this relative easiness of controlling the car, NASCAR Racing 2002 Season proved wonderful for online racing.
